Ferdie’s Treasure Hunt (Part 1)

Dear Journal,
I have a new friend! His name is Ferdie. We like to ride bikes and hang out in his tree house. His dad built it with leftover wood he had from fixing up their basement. It even has a roof on it.
We started a club today. We put a sign on the door that says, “If you don’t know the password, you can’t come in.” We need to make up a password. We decided to put together a treasure hunt. Ferdie asked me if I would draw a treasure hunt map using my Etch A Sketch. That is going to be so cool. I have like 10, maybe 15 Etch A Sketches – all different sizes. So I am going to start on a smaller Etch A Sketch and once I get it just right, I will draw it on the big one.
Tomorrow I am going over to Ferdie’s to hang out again. I am going to draw the map on my Etch A Sketch while I am in the tree house. I better bring my flashlight because sometimes it’s not bright enough to see! I’ll probably leave the Etch A Sketch in the treehouse until my next visit with Ferdie then. That way my little sister won’t see the secret map for the treasure hunt!
