Father’s Day/1st Day of Summer

Father’s Day and the first day of summer happen on the same day this year! I am surprising my dad this year. Mom is going to help me, and we are going to cut the grass on Saturday, and weed the flowerbeds so he can have a break. We bought my dad a hammock so he can lie outside and relax. He works hard. Mom and I are going to put the hammock together and put it under Dad’s favorite tree. I have some of my own tools and we are going to use those.
I’ve been working on a picture for my dad too. It is a picture of us when I was little. I decided to draw the picture on paper using colored pencils and some markers. It turned out really well. Then, I thought I would try drawing it on my Etch A Sketch. The Etch A Sketch drawing turned out better than my paper drawing! The two together look COOL! I can’t wait to show my Dad!
